PAYROLL TAX ANALYST We are recruiting on behalf of a large, global company offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Tax Analyst to join their team. As a Payroll Tax Analyst, you will be a key member of the Corporate Tax department, responsible for managing payroll taxes for over 5,000 employees. You will work closely with a third-party payroll processing firm, manage communications with tax jurisdictions nationwide, reconcile payroll tax balances, ensure up-to-date compliance with tax regulations, resolve issues, and support the payroll team as needed. You will also be responsible for booking payroll tax journal entries. Key Responsibilities: Manage payroll taxes for 5,000+ employees, working closely with third-party payroll processors. Communicate and resolve issues with local and national tax jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and filing requirements. Reconcile payroll tax balances and provide reporting as required. Book payroll tax journal entries. Provide exceptional service to employees and assist the payroll team with any tax-related matters. Stay up to date with changing tax laws and regulations. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: 2-4+ years of focused Payroll Tax compliance experience, including filing payroll tax returns and managing tax issues. Experience with a large, third-party payroll processing firm and managing payroll taxes for clients. Preference for candidates with payroll certifications (e.g., CPP). Degree in Accounting is preferred. Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and ability to work with large data sets. Ability to work autonomously, proactively resolve problems, and meet deadlines.
