Job Overview:
Ingersoll Rand is looking for a HRIS Analyst to lead the effort to define, document, and refine business systems requirements for the implementation/ support of our payroll system in USA. This position will play a critical role in the support and optimization of our new payroll system within UKG. This opportunity focuses on improving system functionality, streamlining payroll operations, and ensuring the platform scales to support future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Implement new payroll features and updates released by UKG, ensuring seamless integration with existing configurations. Provide training and ensure understanding by the payroll processing team.
- Configure and maintain payroll parameters within UKG Pro, including pay rules, tax calculations, deductions, and earnings codes.
- Collaborate with the UKG support team to troubleshoot complex system problems.
- Perform data cleansing and validation activities to maintain data integrity.
- Provide training to HR and payroll staff on UKG Pro payroll functionalities and best practices.
- Create and maintain clear documentation on payroll configuration, including process flows, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
- Assist in implementing new payroll features or system upgrades, including testing and configuration changes.
- Contribute to payroll system improvement initiatives, suggesting process optimizations and system enhancements.
- Troubleshoots payroll issues with a sense of urgency. Must have ability to reverse engineer root cause and create long-term solutions.
- Regularly work with the payroll team to provide reports that will help the team review payroll data for accuracy.
- Generate various payroll reports for management, including earnings summaries, tax reports, and benefit deductions, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and update employee information within UKG Pro, manage system access, and troubleshoot payroll-related issues.
- Build and expand on the existing configuration to add new companies on to our payroll system as we acquire them.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with UKG Pro payroll configuration, including pay rules, tax calculations, deductions, and integrations with other HR systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, compliance requirements, and relevant labor laws.
- Ability to analyze payroll data, identify trends, and troubleshoot complex payroll issues.
- Effective communication to collaborate with HR, payroll teams, and technical support to resolve issues.
- Ability to identify root causes of payroll discrepancies and implement solutions effectively.
Preferences:
- Prior experience in an industrial company.
- UKG WFM experience
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- This is a remotely based position, ideally located near our corporate office in Davidson, NC with anticipated travel between 20-30% on average.
