About the Job

We are seeking a motivated (temporary) Research Assistant with a background in Audiology to support ongoing research projects focused on non-invasive neuromodulation devices for tinnitus treatment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in both clinical and laboratory settings.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 10-20 hours per week
  • Start Date*: March 31st, 2025 (*dependent on completing required hire paperwork)
  • Location: Philips-Wangensteen Building, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing assessments using audiometric equipment
  • Assist with participant visits, including intake, screening and data collection
  • Perform data entry, management, and analysis
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team
  • Communicate research progress and updates to the Principal Investigator (PI)
  • Support general research activities related to tinnitus and neuromodulation
Qualifications

All required qualifications must be included in the application materials

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • Interest in Audiology or a related fiel
  • Proficiency in using audiometers and classifying hearing loss
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working directly with research participants
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Prior research experience is a plus but not required

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $27 an hour depending on education/qualifications/experience.
