Supervisor Infrastructure Services

IMSD

Pay Range: $37.73 - $56.60

JOB SUMMARY: Supervisor Infrastructure Services will assist the Senior Manager Infrastructure Services in supporting and managing the daily activities of the Server team. This role will oversee the functions of the server team to maintain service levels, perform maintenance and upgrades, manage vendor relationships in the data center space, and support other internal IMSD and business partner teams. Supervisor Infrastructure Services will work independently with oversight from the IT Senior Manager Infrastructure to develop and execute support, project management, and security requirements across IMSD. Collaborate with managers across IMSD to influence the formation of enterprise solutions while actively engaged in the troubleshooting processes.

This position will be supervising a team of network and telecom engineers and analyst. A successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of this line of work.

JOB DUTIES:



  • Support the vision and set the strategy and direction for the infrastructure portfolio across the County; Accountable for infrastructure's strategy components' execution and planning ensuring that the infrastructure portfolio is aligned with Milwaukee County business strategy. Formulate and deploy long-term plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective infrastructure and related services.
  • Foresee the governance of the enterprise Infrastructure architecture to remain consistent with integration, synergy, and strategic objectives; Develop architecture processes, standards, templates, and components to ensure alignment between business strategies and IT domain roadmaps.
  • Responsible for Developing and implementing infrastructure standards; and supervising the delivery of infrastructure and services using ITIL practices. Accountable for provisioning, support, maintenance & project delivery. Lead all development and support infrastructure-related devices and services.
  • Supervise the team that provides the support and maintenance for the County infrastructure suite including the development, implementation, and compliance of service standards.
  • Identify training opportunities and skill gaps to choose worthwhile training recommendations. Understand and resolve conflict within the team and with other teams.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate infrastructure-specific reports are created and available to both internal and external business partners.
  • The infrastructure team has a strong working relationship with key vendors. Maintain this relationship and understanding of projects, support tickets, and enhancement opportunities via regularly scheduled calls, meetings (both scheduled and ad-hoc), and change management approval processes.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Current resident of WI
  • Possession of a High School Diploma/GED required. (A strong desire and motivation to gain related network certifications)
  • At least one (1) year in Information Technology, Datacenter, and/or exhibit leadership skills on the job.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard ticketing and infrastructure monitoring software.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • ITIL and Lean Six Sigma training
  • Azure AZ-900 Certification

Perform within difficult or complex working conditions or situations not easily evaluated; decisions require considerable judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in areas there is little precedent.
