Position Title: Welder Fabricator
Wage: $20-$23/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am to 2:30pm QPS is looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator for a company in Richmond, IL. If you have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as a team, we would like to talk with you! Welder Fabricator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform MIG, TIG, and Flux-Core welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel - Fabricate and assemble metal structures, enclosures, and components according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications - Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions - Set up welding machines, adjust settings, and perform necessary pre-welding preparations - Ensure proper fit-up, alignment, and finishing of welded parts - Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications - Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and electrical technicians to support project requirements - Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company safety procedures and OSHA regulations - Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment and tools Welder Fabricator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred - 2 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or electrical engineering environment - Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques - Strong knowledge of metal properties, welding procedures, and fabrication methods - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols - Experience working with structural and sheet metal fabrication - Familiarity with electrical enclosures, conduit welding, and grounding techniques is a plus - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods - Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal fumes - Ability to wear PPE, including welding masks, gloves, and safety glasses QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
