| Job Description |
Assists Test Officers with test documentation by developing, writing, and editing material for reports and related technical and administrative publication, including procedures used in the operations and/or maintenance of test items. Develops the skills and knowledge to contribute to complex projects or complete individual projects. Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments. Develops ability to perform assignments that are not completely standardized, selects or adapts standard procedures using applicable precedents, and performs recurring work independently. Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Reviews prepared reports and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, or content. Maintains files of work assignments and revisions. May select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. May edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers. Provides exceptional customer service in person, on the telephone, and in written correspondence (such as e-mail). Receives assignments from Team Chief and coordinates with Test Officers, team members, and other Division personnel. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. |

Pay Rate:$29.32
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
*Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, English, Journalism, Communications, or other related subject.
Job Skills Requirements:
*Must have strong computer and word processing skills, including being proficient with Microsoft Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
*Must have experience placing images and graphics in documents.
Physical Requirements:
*Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
*Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
*Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for embedded organization and TRAX.
*Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs unassisted.
*Must be capable of sitting at a computer for long periods.
*Must be able to work in an office setting and occasionally perform work outdoors in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degree Fahrenheit.
Job Requirements:
*Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.
*Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
*Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
*Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.
*Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
*Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
*Must use "down-time" effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
*Knowledge of YTC SOPs, test processes, and reporting processes.
*Experience taking direction from engineers and producing professional documents
*Knowledge of and experience with YTC Style Guide and required reporting formats.
*Demonstrated ability to research, understand, and implement new technologies.
*Experience with SharePoint.
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:
*Must be a U.S. Citizen.
*Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
*Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
Relevance of experience to be determined by hiring manager.
