Job Summary

The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in manufacturing and production environments by operating and maintaining CNC Milling machines to produce precision parts and components. This role is responsible for setting up machines, programming and adjusting machine codes (G-code), troubleshooting, and maintaining machinery, and performing quality control checks to ensure that finished products meet the highest standards. They must also identify and resolve machine-related issues, optimize production processes for efficiency, and adapt to the changing demands of different manufacturing projects.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities



  • Machine programming and optimization.
  • Assist with product transfer from R&D to production.
  • Operates and controls CNC Milling Machines.
  • Troubleshoots production CNC Milling Machines.
  • Responsible for maintenance of production CNC Milling Machines.
  • Responsible for training of other Machinist and Machine Operators.
  • Work scope may include functions in SLM, SLA, DLP, SLS or milling process


Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED (AA preferred).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent) packages required.
  • Experience with CAM (SolidCAM or equivalent) packages required.
  • 3-5 years of machining experience required.
  • 5-Axis CNC Programming preferred.
  • FANUC controls preferred.
  • Automation experience preferred.
