What you'll be doing...
The Associate Director of Strategic Operations will take ownership of key business processes within the Custom Solutions organization and ensure the delivery of transformation programs that are strategic to our wider business.

They will manage a team of professionals who themselves own/create/operate global processes or manage the cross functional transformation programs critical to the business. They will partner with key functional areas from Technology Solutions, IT, Product, Sales Operations, and other internal/external organizations to ideate, develop, manage and communicate business transformational change.

This candidate should be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving skills. They will be able to motivate and inspire their entire team (and stakeholder teams) through excellent communication/presentation skills and significant leadership experience. Skill with status reporting, executive-level dashboards, project updates, issue/risk management and resolution at all levels of the organization are core competencies for this role.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Technical field or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience leading complex projects and managing teams requiring a high-level of stakeholder engagement across multiple organizations

  • Ability to translate complex ideas and express them in concise, simple to understand ways.

  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to meet business objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects

  • Ability to own issues/risk decisions and manage on an ongoing basis

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and organize data and develop recommendations.

  • Ability to manage and negotiate with internal and external organizations

  • Ability to navigate cross- functionally and establish strong collaborative partnerships

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's Degree in a Business or Technical field of study.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy to understand manner.

  • Detail-oriented, results driven, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to act with relative independence in area of responsibility

  • Experience to act as a strong leader and decision-maker

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with key executive stakeholders both within Verizon and externally with our customers.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $107,000.00 and $198,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
