Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

This position oversees the front office sales and service of Institutional wealth & asset management consulting services for the Bank. Taking responsibility for developing sales strategies & client experience delivery aligned with the target needs. Cultivating tactical relationships with banking partners to create referrals and other business opportunities. Leads a team of Institutional consultants & business development associates in the sales & client experience functions to achieve new business growth and strong client retention. Provides leadership, direction, and expertise towards the sourcing and acquisition of new prospects, developing centers of influence that generate new revenue.


Responsibilities

  • Sales - Oversees sales and client acquisition activities. Manages and holds sales associates accountable for the development of a sales pipeline including both new and cross-sell opportunities. Builds and cultivates centers of influence to enhance acquisition and referral efforts.
  • Relationship Development - Builds and maintains influential relationships with Bank leadership, associates, and other business partners. Develops a referral system by engaging banking partners. Provides expert advice to associates on client acquisition, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Business Strategy - Develops strategic plans to achieve sales growth and client acquisition goals. Maintains a strong awareness of market conditions, trends, and product set within the Institutional marketplace. Ensures the Bank's products are competitive and marketable. Anticipates opportunities and positions the Bank for proactive response.
  • Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing sales and professional development.
  • Client Service - Establishes, evaluates, and continuously improves the client experience and relationship management standards across the group. Establishes a client service vision/plan and communicates it across the group. Provides expert advice to associate team on client acquisition, satisfaction, and retention.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Institutional Asset Management Sales or Relationship Management, Wealth Management, or Financial Services sales leadership OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Institutional Asset Management Sales or Relationship Management, Wealth Management, or Financial Services sales leadership

Preferred Area of Experience: Institutional Asset Management Sales Leadership. License or Certification Type: Possess valid Series 6, 63, 26, 65 or 66 Required, Possess valid state-specific life and health insurance licenses Required, CFP, CFA, or other industry specific designation PreferredSkill(s): Understanding of Institutional and Wealth Management products and services.

The base pay for this position is generally between $175,000 and $250,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
