Job Description:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is seeking to hire a Site Director for its SkillBridge program in the Norfolk, Virginia location. The Site Director will serve as a liaison with the military base's Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Coordinator through the Careers Skills Program (CSP) in the region. This role will involve managing the recruitment and application processing for active-duty military members (within 180 days of separation), dependent spouses, and veteran SkillBridge applicants. Additionally, the Site Director will support a nine-week on-campus course and faculty.

Please note: This is an in-person position located in Norfolk, Virginia. This position is not remote or hybrid.

Job Responsibilities:

Advisement & Student Services

  • Provide personalized academic advising and support to assigned students
  • Assist students with course registration, degree planning, and academic guidance
  • Counsel students on available financial aid options, scholarships, tuition assistance, Veterans Affairs benefits, etc.
  • Maintain proactive contact with students upon admission, during enrollment, and throughout their academic career
  • Ensure accurate student records are entered and maintained in university platforms, including Campus Solutions, Imaging, and Salesforce

Administration & Site Management

  • Attend and facilitate local events to promote ERAU programs, establish community contacts, and connect with prospective students
  • Research and identify local opportunities for collaboration with the Office of Professional Education and Business Development
  • Coordinate with the Scheduling and Advising Departments to organize schedules for on-site instruction
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations through liaison with governmental authorities, industry leaders, and internal departments
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the fiscal year site budget
  • For military site locations, collaborate with the educational services office and work productively with the Education Services Officer
  • Support on-site courses (daytime, evening, and weekend)

SkillBridge-Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct SkillBridge presentations in collaboration with the Base's Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
  • Plan and execute SkillBridge Recognition Ceremonies (either on-site or virtual)
  • Act as a liaison and support industry partners, coordinating visits and events
  • Liaise with external funding agencies, including Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) as needed
  • Ensure students have the necessary mechanical aptitude and review command authorization for SkillBridge-specific admission criteria
  • Provide business analytics documents for reporting agencies as required
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with the Director of Military Relations and Strategic Initiatives programs, as well as the AMNT SkillBridge sites
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least three years of professional level experience, preferably working with students
  • Demonstrated work experience juggling multiple priorities in a professional manner

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment
