JOB SUMMARY:

Performs IT activities primarily focused on desktop support for company PCs, printers, peripherals, telecommunication devices, and software across the company infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Provides on-site customer service support in an office and manufacturing environment by participating in end-user support and problem management for all areas of the IT infrastructure.



  • Troubleshoots fixes, maintains and deploys workstations and printers.



  • Installs and upgrades hardware/software.



  • Provides LAN support and basic networking support.



  • Builds, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems and workstations with limited supervision including providing software delivery to desktop.



  • Provides end-user training and documentation of hardware and software.



  • Troubleshoots problems related to Microsoft Windows 7, 10 and 11, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server 2016 and up, and basic VMware vSphere.



  • Tracks all IT assets and software via asset management software.



  • Reads technical manuals, confers with users, or conducts computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical assistance and support.



  • Provides support and backup responsibilities to the Network Administrator for IT tasks, projects, and troubleshooting.



  • Supports a multi-location company where local travel is periodically required.



  • Works on special projects as necessary and assigned.



  • Proceeds under general direction with minimal supervision.



  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity to Quality System work instruction requirements that govern Information Technology operations.



  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.



  • Supports and complies with safety initiatives, policies and procedures.



  • Accurately completes all required documentation.



  • Meets attendance policy requirements.



  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.



Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology. Experience working with PC hardware and peripherals, as well as software knowledge in Microsoft products. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required. CompTIA A+ or other Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL certifications are a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other Company stakeholders. All communications must be handled with professional expertise, meaning that they are complete and proper follow-through is provided.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Requires considerable initiative and decision-making judgment. Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary, including the ability to interface with all levels of employees. Must be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and assess priorities to meet deadlines, recognize workflow, and carefully plan short and long term projects.
