Your Role at Acousti As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. You will be responsible for delivering materials to job sites, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining proper documentation. This role is essential to supporting the company's operations and upholding our commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities In this role, you will:
- Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Handle freight with care, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure a secure driving environment
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
What We're Looking for in You To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends or overtime as needed
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver freight as required
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) preferred
- Experience operating a forklift (preferred)
