This part time position will work directly with assigned student-athletes on various subject-based course concepts based on departmental needs and the applicant's preferences. These subjects include but are not limited to mathematics, economics, biology, earth sciences, chemistry, and other introductory level courses. Primarily, this position will assist student-athletes in learning and mastering information presented in their coursework. Appointments will be scheduled in small groups (1-3 students) on a weekly recurring basis. Ideally, the position will work between 15-25 hours per week. Work schedules for this position are flexible and based on the tutors availability to work. Currently, all sessions are conducted in person at the Lindahl Academic Center which is located in the Land O' Lakes Center for Excellence on the campus of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. When necessary, tutoring sessions may be held virtually using Zoom.
