Riverside Overview

Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country's most challenging technical problems.

Position Overview

    The Riverside Research Intern Program is designed to enrich a student's educational experience with real world vocational experience. It enables students to engage in the various stages of creating and operating software solutions, from developing algorithms to deploying applications into production. Participants will learn how to transform a concept into a living product.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Working in Teams or independently to accomplish software development tasks
  • Using Jira or other tools to record and report on tasking status or completion as directed
  • Attending Team meetings, RRI meetings, or 1:1 meetings as directed
  • Accomplishing all required RRI training
  • Other tasks as assigned


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Full time student at an accredited college or university studying with a major in computer science or a related field.
  • Understanding and practical application of computer science to complex problems
  • Understanding of low-level programming principles and fundamentals of computer architecture
  • Course work in, Algorithms & Programming I, or equivalent experience in high level programming.
  • Ability to work independently and in Teams
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills
  • U.S. Citizen only

Desired Qualifications:

  • TS clearance
  • Ability to apply mathematical techniques to solve complex problems and develop quantitative based assessments, knowledge discovery and mathematical modeling
  • Experience with a variety of data formats, unique data sources, complex data, and raw data
  • Coursework related to AI development

$ 25.00 - $35.00 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
