Surgical Technologist - Cardiac - Hillcrest

This is a full-time, 12 hour shift at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. Bonus Eligible*

* Ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.

* Monitor sterile field throughout procedure.

* Scrub for cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team.

* Position and transport patients.

* Organize room cleanup and ensure efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.

*Retention Incentive of $4K and $3K relocation incentive (100+ miles away).

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications:

• One (1) year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail-oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience
• Cardiac experience
• Trauma experience
• CST Certification
