Petroleum Delivery

SALARY RANGE: $27.00 - $30.00/Hour

REPORTS TO: Area Petroleum Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Provides energy product deliveries and services to customers. Assists with resolving customer complaints in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Delivers all energy products utilizing a single or tandem axle truck and performs work related to the propane, petroleum, lubricant, and service areas.

Delivers to farm, home, and commercial customer accounts.

Safely handles all energy products at all times.

Completes technical and product training in order to stay up-to-date and knowledgeable of product changes.

Reports all complaints to supervisor and utilizes appropriate procedures in handling complaints.

Assists supervision with complaint resolutions.

Assists with inventory, making sure it is done correctly, on time, and sent to the main office.

Takes necessary steps to control/manage shrink.

Inspects truck and bulk plant on a regular basis and ensures a timely repair.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Displays good judgment, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in dealing with customers and fellow employees.

Maintains a good working knowledge of and utilizes applicable company computer programs such as, wEBS, FBS, and email.

Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.

Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adhering to the uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

Follows ConservFS's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years or more of sales experience to demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Will be required to travel independently and work self-directed.

Occasionally exposed or required to:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered "normal."

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on ConservFS's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
