Position Summary: Installation Field Supervisors are responsible to support the Project Management team by supervising the Installation process, to ensure areas of work are ready, products are onsite (complete and accurate), staged and ready for install; oversees, directs and supervises entire installation work onsite.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Leadership. The Installation Field Supervisor actively works alongside Installers in the field, providing hands-on support and guidance to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role requires leading by example, troubleshooting challenges in real-time, and fostering a team-oriented environment while upholding company policies and safety regulations.
- Ensure safety information (Field Safety Manual, AHA's, and Certification documents) is up to date and distributed to General Contractors as requested.
- Communicate effectively with all involved with the project (General Contractors, Project Managers and Installation Team) to ensure we meet our commitment to our customers.
- Attend handoff meetings with Project Managers and Field Coordinator and other meetings as required to gain a clear understanding of the job scope and progression.
- Perform field dimension tasks as assigned and relay information to Engineers, Project Managers and/or Installation Manager.
- Check on job site conditions for readiness of delivery and installation; Police the job site to ensure we are keeping the site clean and that our installation standards are being upheld.
- Coordinate delivery with the General Contractor, Project Manager, Production Department, and Installation Manager and team.
- Receive delivery of product to include product is delivered well maintained and stored properly as not to get damaged or follow up with Project Manager and Installation Manager if unacceptable product needs to be returned to the Production Department for repair and/or rework.
- Document any special items needed for install and report to the Installation Manager.
- Complete and submit daily reports to Installation manager.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment with minimal supervision.
- Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform weekly tailgate safety talks and submit signed documents to Installation Manager.
Qualifications Desired:
- Possess a good driving record, meet the company's driver criteria and insurability requirements and have the ability to travel nationally when needed.
- Previous knowledge and experience in Millwork/Casework installation.
- Cabinetry certification and/or 3+ years' experience in related field.
- Previous management/leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of the carpentry/construction industry, including processes, procedures, equipment, tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of AWI quality standards.
- Computer savvy - proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
