Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director - Vinyl Siding - Surface Solutions, the Senior Financial Analyst is an important role which lies within the Surface Solutions portfolio; the Vinyl Siding category is a core growth segment in the business unit. This role will work closely with the Vinyl Siding leadership team and contribute to the achievement of the segment's strategic goals. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to be exposed to all financial aspects of a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Finance Director and Vinyl Siding GM to drive profitable growth through broad-scope business analysis and support.
  • Lead reporting, forecasting, and monthly planning processes, including both proactive- and retroactive analysis of the financial statements, identifying opportunities to increase income and/or cash.
  • Track and report daily inbound orders and shipments to develop data-driven projections.
  • Primary liaison with corporate FP&A for a subset of the Vinyl Siding portfolio, specific to reporting requirements on both an actual and forecast basis throughout the month. This is foundational to future growth and a great opportunity for P&L ownership.
  • Partnering within a matrixed environment on many different financial elements impacting Vinyl Siding. Frequent interactions with, but not limited to: Business Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and members of the commercial team.
  • Lead analytical modeling of strategic CapEx projects; lead forensic analysis for prior CapEx projects, and provide key learnings to be applied in the future.
  • Drive Working Capital Management and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, collaborative, and adaptable, while managing through complexity and ambiguity.
  • Action-oriented professional with a take-charge, can-do attitude, and strong communication and time management skills. Must have ability to juggle competing priorities and work through roadblocks to meet commitments.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a desire to learn and develop. Advanced Excel knowledge required, and financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Possess a continuous-improvement mindset; be able to identify opportunities for process improvement and propose ideas for potential solutions and/or change.
