TITLE: IT Technician A POSITION OBJECTIVE: Experienced IT professional with a strong foundation in network administration, system support, and IT troubleshooting. Skilled in maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and optimizing system performance. Capable of handling IT projects efficiently while providing high-quality technical support to enhance organizational productivity. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, network troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with Server administration.
- Familiarity with firewalls, basic cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi environments.
- Good troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, willing to accommodate non-standard work hours when necessary.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in IT project coordination, ensuring smooth implementation of system upgrades and deployments.
- Perform network troubleshooting and configuration for switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Install, configure, and support PCs, network printers, and office hardware/software.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support, resolving IT-related issues efficiently.
- Manage Wi-Fi and office network through various software tools and ensure system reliability.
- Support Windows Server management, including user account administration and security settings.
- Assist in implementing IT security policies and maintaining compliance with company standards.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and IT procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify areas for infrastructure improvement and optimization.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and compliance guidelines in IT operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Supervisor and ME/IT Manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Inside, protected from weather
- Temperature controlled
- Subject to noise, moving machinery, and/or electrical currents
- Possible exposure to some chemicals, gases, high heat
- Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, and dusts
