The Salesforce Production Support Developer is essential for maintaining the stability and performance of our Salesforce production environments. This position involves providing support, managing incidents, leading deployment efforts for critical platform stability. Additionally, this role will provide development support to implement business enhancements to existing functionality

Base Salary Range 110,000 - 160,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans and generous time off.

Responsibilities

1. Salesforce Platform Support & Issue Resolution (40%)

    Provide support for a Salesforce production org, focusing on CPQ, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and App Cloud functionalities.
  • Manage and resolve high-complexity incidents, service requests, and problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform hands-on production support and break-fix activities to ensure system reliability and performance, leveraging Salesforce debug logs and issue reproduction.

2. Technical Development & Solutioning (30%)

  • Utilize Salesforce platform and developer skills to solve critical technical issues reported by end users and clients.
  • Develop and configure solutions using Salesforce functionality, including LWC, AURA, Apex, Visualforce Pages, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Identify root causes, propose test cases and fixes, and develop debugging tools while working closely with product teams.

3. Deployment & System Enhancements (20%)

  • Lead deployment efforts, including planning, execution, and post-deployment validation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve support processes.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement (10%)

  • Collaborate with business teams to clarify tickets and ensure efficient resolution.
  • Provide support across Eastern Time and Pacific Time zones as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least one Salesforce certification (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, etc)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience leading production support on the Salesforce platform in Lightning and have expert level working knowledge on major Salesforce.com technologies, data modeling, integration, and data migration
  • Extensive understanding of Salesforce.com best practices, Architecture, Design, Development, Administration, and security model
  • Programming & Development Skills: Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL. Experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development
  • IDE & Version Control: Experience using VS Code, IntelliJ, and SFDX for Salesforce development, along with version control tools like GitHub, BitBucket, or GitLab
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and tools like Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Testing & Debugging: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, leveraging Salesforce debug logs, Apex test classes, and Lightning Inspector
  • Declarative & Administrative Configuration: Experience with Flows, Approval Processes, Reports/Dashboards, Permission Sets, Sharing Settings, Roles/Profiles, Field-Level Security (FLS), and Organization-Wide Defaults (OWDs)
  • Environment & Release Management: Experience managing production and sandbox environments, metadata deployments, and release strategies. Familiarity with Salesforce Scratch Orgs and Unlocked Packages is a plus
  • API & Integration Experience: Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, External Services, and Middleware tools
  • Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize Apex, SOQL queries, and Lightning components for performance and scalability
