Job Description: (CDL Driver/Dump Truck) The CDL Dump Truck Driver is responsible for operating commercial motor vehicles in compliance with federal, state and local laws standards and regulations. The role ensures timely and safe delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to job sites while adhering to safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Duties * Operate company vehicles, including Class A or Class B trucks, in a safe and professional manner. * Inspect vehicles daily to ensure they meet safety and operational standards, report maintenance or repair needs. * Operate various types of equipment to load, transport, and deliver goods and materials to specified locations efficiently and within established timelines. * Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection reports, in compliance with the Department of Transportation regulations. * Adhere to federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. * Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and proper handling of goods. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues. * Monitor vehicle performance and immediately report any defects or mechanical concerns. * Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport. * Safely maneuver in urban areas and construction sites. * Transport and drive equipment to and from regionally located job sites in a safe and timely manner. * Survey job site and unload cargo in the area per policies, procedures and in conjunction with Foreman directives. * Inspect truck supplies such as tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and water. * Maintain a valid CDL with the required endorsements and medical card. * Undergo required DOT physical examinations to maintain driving eligibility. * Promptly report any delays, traffic, weather or emergency conditions, irregularities in pickup or delivery of cargo, safety hazards on route, or accidents involving driver or company equipment Qualifications * Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements. * Ability to operate a variety of vehicles safely and efficiently. * Proficient in using GPS devices, maps, and other navigation tools. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
