Requisition Id14618 Overview: The Quality Assurance Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking qualified applicants with Nuclear Quality experience. Interested candidates will work as a Quality Representative that provides quality oversight and engineering support for the Pu-238 project activities. This position resides in the Isotope Research and Production Group in the Quality Assurance Division, Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality DIRECTORATE, atOak Ridge National Laboratory(ORNL). The Quality Representative will work with internal and external customers and other quality professionals to provide nuclear quality assurance engineering support for the development of quality management systems, project/process improvements, strategic planning, performance metrics and other quality-related initiatives to support nuclear operations. This position will support and provide guidance with implementation of NQA-1 quality requirements. The position encompasses a wide range of quality oversight, review, verification and validation of internal and external systems, items, and components. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of NQA-1, possess the initiative to be a self-starter in day to day activities, and be willing to do some minimal travel. Special Requirement: Q or L clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance from the Department of Energy. As such, this position is a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position.
