JOB SUMMARY

The Safety Administrative Assistant will support Safety managers to create and execute safety protocols by providing administrative assistance, such as data entry, file system maintenance, meeting coordination & documentation of work safety incidents.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • A working knowledge of general office procedures at a level normally acquired through one year experience in an office setting; and
  • High School diploma or equivalent


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Experienced in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • One year of safety support experience



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Assist the Safety Manager with routine activities that support Safety, Loss Control and Risk Management functions.
  • Perform basic clerical functions such as filing, data entry, answering incoming calls, drafting preliminary incident reports, maintaining client's third-party safety data base, etc.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide project support, such as reporting, presentations, and documentation of process improvement.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


  • Wage range: $22 - 32 hourly.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match.
  • Vacation and sick leave.

  • Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
