Position Summary The Transfer Credit Specialist is expected to have a thorough understanding of the student life cycle and specialized understanding of transfer credit evaluation, admissions credentials, academic credentials, test credits, progress to degree, articulations and equivalencies (program and course), degree requirements, curriculum governance, and the system maintenance associated with these academic functions for all schools of NYU. With supervision from the Assistant Registrar and Senior Specialist, this position will maintain student records in University systems, including records related to academic standing, degree progress (including major/minor/concentration changes, leaves, withdrawals, etc.), transfer/test credit equivalencies and allocations, graduation checkout, and building and maintaining degree programs and requirements (general education, majors, minors, concentrations, etc.). Serve as an information resource specialist for awarding transfer credit for external courses and tests, configuring equivalencies and requisites, degree requirements, and degree audit to the entire University. Develop documentation, communication and training materials in order to train other staff and school users in University policy and procedure, as well as utilization of the University Student Information System (PeopleSoft CampusSolutions). Initiate, lead, and/or participate in special projects. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $73,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
