Position Description

Your Opportunity:

As a Program Analyst you will provide full-time support to the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA), Office of Defense Programs (NA-10). You'll work daily in the DOE Forrestal Building in Washington, DC. Telework options may be available, based on client needs and volume of classified work.

What You Will Do:


  • Conduct detailed research and apply analysis and evaluation techniques to issues affecting NNSA weapons programs.
  • Support the development of products that respond to Congressional, Executive, and military requests and requirements.
  • Draft strategic messaging in alignment with Administration goals.
  • Facilitate meetings and planning with representatives from across the nuclear security enterprise and other stakeholders including (but not limited to) drafting agendas, identifying topics and speakers, drafting talking points, and various coordination activities.
  • Draft, distribute, track, and expedite deliverables.
  • Work and communicate clearly and effectively with an integrated team.

What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Active DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain an SCI
  • Responsive, customer service orientation with outstanding verbal and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience with written communication, briefings, and congressional reports prepared for senior and executive management including experience in reviewing and editing documents for consistency in style, formatting, and messaging
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with federal, military, various contractor representative and other stakeholder in the nuclear security enterprise
  • Experience working with NNSA Defense Programs or DoD Nuclear Matters preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of national policy relevant to supporting nuclear weapons activities (e.g., Interim National Security Guidance, Nuclear Posture Review, National Defense Strategy, National Security Strategy, etc.) preferred
