Summary:

In this role, you will manage the vision, development, enhancements, and overall strategy for products supporting Vizient's group purchasing offerings. You will manage the development and enhancement of a complex product suite and participate in Agile ceremonies with a multi-disciplinary development team, driving the discussion for sprint planning, user story refinement and creation of product value propositions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall product strategy and enhancements, including roadmaps, business requirements and business launches, with minimal guidance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs through voice of customer interviews, analytics, and research to help shape the vision and strategy, and deliver maximum business and customer impact.
  • Own product execution by working closely with engineering teams that are responsible for building platform products, and ensuring backlogs are properly defined and ceremonies are effective.
  • Partner closely with relevant product and engineering leaders and teams to communicate the product value proposition and align on the roadmap.
  • Manages priorities of product business planning and life cycle across multiple products; ensures pervasive market needs are met, differentiated value is created, and roadmaps align to overall product strategy.
  • Cultivate an environment that excels at measuring success through product metrics.
  • Interpret data to identify potential business opportunities and make recommendations to product leaders.
  • Collaborate with Vizient stakeholders to advance regulatory influence in areas of interoperability and data standards.
  • Collaborate with product delivery, marketing, sales and other business functions to establish launch plans and communication strategies.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making skills by addressing technical and strategic challenges with innovative solutions using both data and intuition to effectively navigate ambiguity.
  • Help evolve our product operating model and elevate the product management practice at Vizient.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. MBA, MPH or MHA preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience as a technical product manager is required.
  • 2+ years of platform domain experience is strongly desired.
  • Proven experience, creating presentations and presenting to a variety of levels internally and externally required.
  • Proven track record of driving product vision, strategy, execution, and launch.
  • Comfort with highly technical concepts while maintaining a focus on product value.
  • Relentless drive to learn new domains and keep up with industry innovations.
  • Experience working on data platforms or platform engineering teams is strongly desired.
  • Experience working with data specifications and data mapping between systems desired.
  • Experience with EMR's, ERP's interoperability software or data standards preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
