Pay Range*: $49.51 to $77.62/hour

Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

Under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, the Employee Health Nurse provides employee health services in an appropriate and effective manner in compliance with the RN standards of practice. Services provided by the Employee Health, RN are under the direction of the Medical Director of Employee Health Services with oversight from the Chief Nursing Officer. Additional responsibilities include collecting employee health information, implementation of assigned tasks and maintenance of employee health files.

Essential Job Outcomes

  • Collects, reviews and assesses pre-employment data collection
  • Performs ongoing health screening including annual TB screening, immunization compliance, annual flu administration, FIT Testing, USP 800 compliance and exposure to communicable disease
  • Plan, monitor, and manage compliance to ensure employee compliance with annual health screening and flu shot administration
  • Provides basic counseling as requested by employees and management
  • Assists with worker's compensation injuries
  • Participates in various system and local committees
  • Manages, maintains and ensures compliance with Employee Health policies
  • Other duties as assigned

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
