Summary: The role reporting into the IAS Global Sales and Product Management Director plays a critical leadership role to ensure growth and expansion of the IAS business within the North America Region. This role also involves overseeing the North America Key Account Manager and Calculator, building a competent and engaged team who can unleash IAS growth and commercial success in the region providing the customers with cutting edge technical solutions. You are expected to:
- In line with the Global Sales strategy as well as with market trends, customer needs, and business goals, lead the development and roll out of the North America commercial strategy to achieve growth targets and sales objectives, including identifying key customers, maximizing market share and defining optimal pricing to increase revenue and profitability.
- Develop a strong grasp of industry trends, competitive landscape and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats and play a pivotal role in business development initiatives both in the North American market and within the Aptiv group.
- Oversee sales budgeting and forecasting and implement corrective actions to address gaps and enhance revenue generation as and when needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers and key stakeholders in the automotive industry at a regional level.
- Lead contract negotiations with NA customers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Maximize Customer intimacy at all Departments: being the voice of North American customers within the organization and communicating technical requirements and trends back to the different functions to ensure IAS product positioning remains competitive over time.
- Lead the North America sales department, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Manage and mentor the team, set objectives, and evaluate performance.
- Working very closely with the Global and Local teams (Sales and Product Management, Quality, Production, etc.) to ensure successful product launches from the RFI to the nomination, and subsequently, from new products customer approvals to SOP and EOP, as well as effective strategic product planning.
- Act as Account Manager in collaboration with regional Sales team to ensure coverage of all NA-Customers
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Proven track record in sales leadership, business development, and commercial strategy execution within the automotive industry.
- Exceptional commercial acumen and a strong balance between execution mindset, practical approach and strategic thinking
- Experience setting stretching targets and inspiring a team to deliver on those objectives.
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
