What this job involves:

  • Lead the strategic preparation, management, consolidation, and delivery of the annual plan and quarterly reforecast in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide oversight and ensure accuracy and compliance in the revenue recognition process.
  • Prepare in-depth financial analysis and dashboard reporting as needed for Executive Finance Director (EFD), Divisional Finance Director (DFD), and Corporate FP&A.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly variances to identify trends and opportunities for strategic decision-making and present information clearly and concisely to executives and stakeholders.
  • Achieve accounts receivable objectives and metrics to support the organization's working capital targets.
  • Supervise the completion of quarterly audit schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard the organization's financial assets; participate in other internal controls-related programs (zero leaks, account reviews, QA findings, etc).
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain policies and procedures that optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting packages to key stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop the accounting/finance team, including staff development, compensation planning, and succession plans.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly financial variances to identify trends and opportunities for strategic decision-making.
  • Generate pipeline reports and dashboard metrics for business or product lines to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary financial/accounting liaison for Business Unit Executives, Product Line owners, and Corporate, providing guidance on financial, operational, and client matters.
  • Proactively provide decision-making support to all stakeholders, leveraging financial expertise and strategic perspectives.
  • Take full ownership of the annual plan and quarterly reforecast, aligning financial strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes within the assigned span of control.
  • Lead and inspire managers, supervisors, and professional staff within the finance department, driving performance and achieving targeted outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive departmental plans that align with long-term goals, encompassing business, production, and organizational priorities.
  • Manage resources effectively and contribute to policy formation to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines.

Sound like you? Before you apply it's worth knowing what we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, complemented by a minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience in finance leadership roles.
  • CPA and/or MBA qualifications are strongly preferred.
  • Extensive track record of at least 10 years in directly managing and leading teams, including training and performance evaluation.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, organizational, and coordination skills to effectively navigate complex financial landscapes and support key decision-making processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely to various executives and stakeholders (tell the story).
  • Demonstrated strength in delivering impactful presentations to both internal and external audiences.
  • Strong accounting skills, with a deep understanding of financial principles and practices; background in audit and internal controls would be highly advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage technology for finance-related tasks.
  • Experience with computer-based accounting applications, and familiarity with JD Edwards platforms would be beneficial.
  • Consistently displays strong values, upholds ethical principles, and maintains a dedicated work ethic.
  • Shows a genuine commitment to providing exceptional client service, recognizing its importance in the success of the organization.
  • Thrives in a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment, contributing positively to team dynamics while maintaining individual accountability.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

200,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
