The hiring range for this role is:

125,870.00 - 176,525.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range and this hiring range may also be modified in the future. A candidate's position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.

Job Description Summary
This role will be responsible for the ongoing development and management of community engagement initiatives. The role involves the oversight of community initiatives, fostering partnerships with Blue Foundations, and ensuring the successful implementation of programs that align with our mission and values. This role is crucial in driving our mission forward by fostering collaboration, enhancing community engagement and expanding our network of partnerships.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leadership & Management

    • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies aligned with Blue Cross Blue Shield Associations (BCBSA) organizational goals as well as across Blue System strategies.

    • Leading, creating & managing community-related projects and events, including BCBSA's annual Community Impact Day.

    • Represent BCBSA at community events, meetings and forums.

    • Supports our Inclusion & Engagement programs and looks for ways to integrate

  • Partnership development:

    • Building and maintaining relationships with community partners and stakeholders that align with our mission and goals.

    • Reporting on the impact and outcomes of community initiatives.

    • Collect and analyze feedback from community members to improve community services and initiatives.

    • Identify and cultivate partnerships with other Blue Plans and their foundations and with internal teams to leverage partnerships.

  • Program Management:

    • Drives program objectives through program and project management at all execution levels from strategic execution, content development to follow-up and communication

    • Represent BCBSA at community events, meetings and conferences.

    • Manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communication for program/process rollout and ongoing support

    • Support the management and development of BCBSA's 501(c)(3)

    • Determine possible grant opportunities and oversee the application process and manage applicable relationships

    • Set, measure and monitor the effectiveness of the community programs and partnerships.

    • Collaborates with Employee Resource Groups to integrate and align

    • Partners with internal stakeholders and divisions to advocate and promote community initiatives

Required Education, Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Ten or more years in community management, social engagement, or related fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven ability to build and scale programs successfully internally and externally

  • Strong leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for connecting people, fostering belonging and driving meaningful engagement

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people

  • Knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations and compliance requirements
