Description

A Purchasing Support Representative, is responsible for supporting the Category and Inventory Operations department. Your main responsibilities will include placing drop-shipments, assisting and updating our internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts) and maintaining vendor cost in our ERP system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.



  • Processing daily order requisitions in our ERP system
  • Update internal databases with new purchase order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).
  • Follow-up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
  • Track orders and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain good relationships with all vendors
  • Coordinate and negotiate all Vendor pricing to keep inventory cost at a reasonable and cost effective price
  • Keep track of vendor price change for all the products & services
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training.

Required Skills/Abilities



  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Business Apps (MS Excel, Outlook). SAP experience a plus
  • Data entry experience and skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.


Hourly Pay: $18-$19/hr

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
