Acara Solutions is hiring an experienced Procurement Agent for our Fortune 500 banking client in Buffalo, NY.

This is a great opportunity for anyone eager to advance their career in business operations & supply chain!

Here's what you'll get:

  • Pay: $25-28 /hr. based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time M-F, 8am-4:30pm
  • 100% onsite in Buffalo
  • Contract to hire after approximately 6 months with good work performance

Here's what you'd do:

  • Implement and manage procurement programs, ensuring efficient use of preferred vendors and services.
  • Source commodity expenditures up to $100K annually and manage Bank-wide commodity programs.
  • Educate and train employees on available Bank programs for ordering goods and services.
  • Negotiate pricing for one-off non-catalogue items in line with procurement standards.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all Bank purchases are processed through Procurement Operations to minimize independent spending.
  • Provide performance reports to management on customer and vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contracts.
  • Recommend changes based on performance analysis, including catalog adjustments and addressing price fluctuations.
  • Process non-catalogue orders in compliance with audit and procurement policies.
  • Work with employees to source items and obtain pricing as needed.
  • Audit and process program invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Validate signing authority and verify signatures on incoming orders.
  • Adhere to the company's risk and regulatory policies, escalating issues as needed.
  • Promote diversity and reflect the company's brand in all activities.
  • Maintain internal controls, addressing audit and regulatory feedback.
  • Support strategic sourcing through competitive bidding, leveraging client spend for savings.
  • Expedite orders for non-preferred catalogue items to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree
  • Ability to follow directions, flexible in tasks (no two days the same)
  • Willingness to learn /grow, experience with contracts , min will need to learn
  • Basic data analytics, basic excel/word - PBI
