Job Summary

The person in the position will oversee functional screens of the global human cell-surface interactome project. Using cell based high-throughput screening as well as specifically designed tests for selected ligand-receptor pairs, they will provide insight to biological significance of the novel interactions discovered in the interactome.

Essential Job Duties

The person in position will:

  • Carry out cell surface binding assay of the full cell-surface extracellular domain (ECD) library to human primary cells (25%)
  • Single-cell RNA sequencing for the transcriptional response of the human primary cells when incubated with the ECD library (40%)
  • Function analysis designed for specific ligand-receptor pairs in receptor KO cell lines (35%).

Basic Qualifications

The position requires a:

  • PhD in Biology and three years of training post receiving the degree.
  • Have a strong background in molecular biology and cell biology and must be BSL2 trained.

Preferred Qualifications

The person in position is preferred to:

  • Be trained in human primary cells handling, experience with human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) is ideal.
  • Use flow cytometer and analyze flow cytometry data.
  • Experience in single-cell sequencing assays as well as bioinformatics for analyzing sequencing data.

Hiring Range

$60,000 - $82,500 Per Year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
