Located on-site in Ventura, CA. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering and technical support to the AEGIS In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for systems including the AEGIS Combat System (ACS), Weapon System (AWS), Computing Infrastructure/Network, Display Systems, and other integrated weapon and sensor systems.
- Provide installation, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, troubleshoot and repair services of complex AEGIS systems.
- Analyze equipment failures to determine root cause and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Review, update and maintain AEGIS documentation.
- Monitor CASREPS on a daily basis on SIPR side and post a summary to an UNCLASS database. Monitor AEGIS systems, VLS launchers, radars such as SPS-67, SPS-73, and SPQ-9B for all ships in the fleet. Along with monitoring the status of the CASREPS, track repair parts associated and the status of the ship, i.e., deployed or in maintenance.
Experience Requirements:
- Three years of experience working on board US Navy Ships performing corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic systems.
- Technical writing skills to maintain AEGIS documentation.
- Should possess excellent verbal communications skills and know how to orchestrate job tasks between multiple group organizations.
- Ability to take charge and work with minimum supervision.
Education Requirements:
- At least four (4) years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing the AEGIS Combat/Weapon System (ACS or AWS), Computer Networks and/or Display Systems.
- US Navy certification in Fire Control Navy Enlisted Codes (NECs) related to AEGIS ACS, AWS, Networks or other integrated weapon system.
Security Clearance:
- Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
