More about the role

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Product Development team onsite in Peachtree City, Georgia.

The Summer internship program is from June 2nd through August 22, 2025.

You'll be responsible for providing support to New Product Development (NPD) teams for our connected lighting products and controls.

  • Coordinate with marketing and lead engineers to ensure project specifications are clear, complete, achievable, and consistent with voice of the customer (VoC).

  • Ensure design progression via CAD modeling reviews, thermal and mechanical analysis, drawing and model retention, testing plan creation, test review, and coordinate with internal and third-party compliance.

  • Meet project tooling budget and product cost requirements.

  • Coordinate with sourcing team to ensure vendors are identified, quotations are obtained, and quality standards/form deliverables are met.

  • Prototype and build Proof-of-Concepts.

More about you

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelors' or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (student through December 2025)

  • Demonstrate basic mechanical design approaches and capabilities; proficient in CAD

  • Have basic knowledge of various material and their structural and thermal properties

  • Excellent communication, organizational and people skills and the ability to work across functional groups

  • Ability to articulate and promote Engineering best-practices

Pay Rate: $23 - $29 per hour (based on year of study)
