What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Software Systems Engineer to join our Finance Systems development team.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Develop custom applications for our Finance partners using the Oracle APEX and Java development frameworks

• Configure Oracle EBS solutions to support of our Finance partners

• Develop enhancements, implement modifications, and bug fixes to existing custom applications

• Prepare prototypes and evaluate the technical feasibility and cost effectiveness of the prototypes

• Evaluate and implement interfaces between enterprise software systems

• Develop and execute functional and unit tests to ensure software quality

• Manage deliverables, budgets, timelines, and risks on specific projects

• Respond to incidents and customer requests within SLA timeframes using the ServiceNow platform

  The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.

Salary Range:

$99,400 - $193,600

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field plus 5 years of experience

• 3 or more years of experience developing:

• Oracle APEX applications

• Complex SQL queries and reporting solutions

• Software using Agile development methodologies

• 1 or more years of experience developing Java applications

• An active DOE L clearance, or equivalent is required to start

Qualifications We Desire:

• Experience as a software developer in the Finance Systems domain

• Experience with Oracle EBS

• Experience developing interfaces/integrations with multiple software systems

• Project management skills, including experience leading IT projects

• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

About Our Team:

Sandia's Finance Systems department provides software solutions in order to enable efficient Finance operations at the Labs. We are part of the larger Enterprise Systems group which is an integrated team of departments focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and cost effective software solutions for our partners.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
