Zayo is seeking a strategic and innovative leader for the role of Vice President of Front Office Applications and Middleware.

The Vice President (VP) of Front Office Applications and Middleware will lead the strategic development, integration, and management of the organization's application ecosystem. This role focuses on enhancing customer-facing platforms, streamlining middleware processes, and optimizing back-office systems to drive business efficiency and growth. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Architecture and Engineering, the VP will ensure that all application services align with business objectives and industry best practices. This leader will combine technical acumen with a deep understanding of business strategy, influencing the direction of Zayo's technology platforms and enhancing operational effectiveness across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Front Office Platform Management: Oversee the development and optimization of customer-facing applications, including CRM systems like Salesforce and enterprise portals, ensuring they deliver exceptional user experiences and meet business requirements.

  • Middleware Integration: Lead the implementation and management of middleware solutions, such as ServiceNow and API management platforms, to facilitate seamless communication between disparate systems and enhance workflow automation.

  • Application Architecture Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive application architecture strategy that supports scalability, flexibility, and rapid deployment of new features and services.

  • Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into the application ecosystem to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all applications adhere to security best practices and comply with relevant regulations and standards, implementing necessary controls to protect sensitive data.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish robust operational frameworks focused on reliability, continuous improvement, and proactive issue resolution. Ensure operational efficiency, including production support, testing automation, and performance monitoring.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders in finance, network, HR, and customer success to integrate technology solutions that deliver significant business impact. Align efforts with the strategic objectives of the enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in driving digital transformation through Cloud Native Application development, Application modernization, and agile.

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of leadership experience in managing enterprise applications, middleware, and back-office systems within large-scale, complex environments.

  • Extensive experience with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce.

  • Proficiency in middleware technologies, including ServiceNow and API management tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion and HR platforms like Workday.

  • Familiarity with modern application architectures, including microservices and cloud-native development. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage large-scale projects, and drive organizational change.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Results-Oriented: Track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, with a focus on quality and measurable business impact.

  • Continuous Improvement: Passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices to advance operational efficiency and organizational performance.

Estimated base salary range: $240,000 - $260,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
