Job Details

The Quality Design Engineer supports the product development and sustaining engineering programs by ensuring compliance to and enforcing regulations, standards, policies, standard operating procedures, and instructions related to Risk Management and Design Control of Haemonetics products And is effective member of assigned cross-functional design teams supporting new product development and sustaining engineering change management.

Essential Functions:

SUPPORT NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCT CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROJECTS BY:

* Take direction to support the team as cross-functional Design Quality team member for new product development projects and product change projects

* Perform updates and release to documents within the electronic system

* Participate in the development, update, and release of various Risk Management documentation

* Support development team in the review, and approval of:

o Software Testing verification and validation

o Engineering Requirements & Specifications

o Engineering test protocols and reports required for design verification, design validation

* Ensure accuracy and completeness of the Design History File

* Ability to support multiple Product Line Portfolios

SUPPORT QUALITY SYSTEM BY:

* Participating in continuous improvement projects as well as improvements to policies, procedures, instructions, and training

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical or other appropriate Engineering degree.

  • 0-2 Yrs work experience preferred w/ above education and/or Internship experience

  • Strong team collaboration with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace new product introduction environment.

  • Travel to company sites as required.

  • Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Proficient with office, planning, and analysis software tools.
