Description Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm To maintain a safe working and living environment for staff and clients, the Safety Technician will perform routine and ad-hoc tasks to provide for a safe workplace by monitoring and affecting OPCS safety policies and procedures and by identifying and minimizing potential hazards. Develop and distribute the annual emergency drill schedule one month prior to the end of year. 2. Per the annual emergency drill schedule, conduct all drills at each OPCS property Coordinate with all OPCS designated staff at each property to ensure that emergency disaster and fire drills are successfully and timely performed. Complete the drill report and note deficiencies. 3. File completed drill reports in the properties' Safety Log Book and input the required information in the OPCS database located in the Community directory. 4. Complete an Incident Report for all mishaps to include but not limited to accidents, including auto, damage to property, injuries, infractions to lodging agreements, safety hazards, etc. 5. Ensure that the Safety Log Book is readily accessible and current. 6. Update Fire and Safety Plan as needed. 7. Be alert and inspect for fire/safety issues. 8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Requirements High school diploma/GED. Have a valid Arizona driver's license, good driving record, insurance, and reliable transportation. Interpersonal skills to always interact with employees or clients in a pleasant manner. Possess and maintain a valid CPR/First Aid Certification. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., climb stairs & ladders, work overhead, dig, stand, and work in confined spaces. Pay Rate - $17.43 $ 21.18 $ 25.01 In accordance with pay transparency, the salary reflected in this posting is the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Salary placement is typically between the minimum and mid-point of the salary range. |
