The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring their efficient use, maintenance, and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing drivers, coordinating maintenance, and optimizing fleet operations to support the company's logistical needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safety is our number one Core Value. Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite policies.
  • Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.
  • Coordinating with each E2 Optics location manage the scheduling of maintenance of vehicles.
  • Maintains organizational management of all fleet operations to support all E2 Optics locations to ensure consistency in management of drivers and vehicles.
  • Ensures licensing, registration, and proper documentation for vehicles is provided to E2 Optics locations for compliance.
  • Manage the driver and vehicle management system to maintain detailed records of vehicle use, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Provide regular reports to management on fleet performance and budgeting.
  • Assists the VP Safety & Risk Management with maintaining consistency in programs and documentation with databases, programs and training.
  • Practice team member engagement by coaching, encouragement and guidance that drives behavior-based safety and fosters an overall safety awareness culture.
  • Leads by example by exemplifying safety and professionalism.
  • Reviews vehicle incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary.
  • Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics. Potentially 10% of travel.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • OSHA 30
Experience:
  • Associates Degree in logistics, business administration or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to positively influence and encourage others.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and excellent work ethics.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) and MS Project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
