Logistics Services Job Summary

Under general supervision, assures all Central Supply inventory transactions are properly documented in appropriate software applications. Maintains in-house documentation of specialty rental equipment. Assists customers with supply and equipment requests. Provides back up relief for Central Supply Technicians. May run shift operations in the absence of the shift Supervisor.

Essential Functions:
  • Will cover Technicians assignments as necessary. Assist with daily technician workflow by picking orders, scanning locations or putting away supplies on nursing units. (10%)
  • Assures all supply issues out of inventory are recorded in Infor, and all patient supply charging is recorded in Epic. Performs additional data entry as necessary. Assures equipment rental documentation is correctly recorded in the appropriate location of record. Makes rounds on the nursing floors to account for Denver Health owned equipment and rental equipment. (20%)
  • Oversees shift operations in supervisor's absence. Makes sure staff has their assignments, follows progress throughout the shift, adjusts assignments as needed, and addresses issues with customers or staff during the shift. Reports issues to their supervisor. Delivers the end of shift report during huddle. (30%)
  • Assists customers both in person and on the phone. Provides guidance regarding their supply and equipment needs. (30%)
  • Restocks code carts and intubation trays. (10%)

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:
  • 1-3 years clerical experience Required and
  • 1-3 years in a supply tech role Required

Licenses:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have mathematical and organizational abilities.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Must be detail oriented and able to problem solve minor issues.
    • Able to work in and around a busy setting.
    • Good leadership skills.
    • Ability to think critically, and prioritize tasks based on circumstances.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
