Job Description

Working in a world class Equipment Engineering organization with talented group of Equipment Engineers, Technicians, and technical supportive management. An organization that focuses on growth, talent development, and continuous improvement. Responsible for performing basic level repairs, and preventative maintenance for semiconductor equipment in Metrology area on equipment models such as KLA SP1, Surfscan 6400/6420, F5/F5x, RS-75/RS-100. Assist equipment engineers and managers in evaluating equipment performance and providing maintenance recommendations to ensure maximum availability of production equipment. Interface with Production and Process teams regarding FAB priorities and participate in area shift pass-downs.

This Job Is For You If
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for equipment failures, and demonstrate problem solving capabilities and learning in production environment
  • Performing Preventative Maintenance tasks, and rebuilding assemblies
  • Ability to work in teams and independently and escalate to Equipment Engineers and Managers extended down situations and follow up on solutions.
  • Assist in analyzing reoccurring equipment failures using available Failures Pareto and recommend permanent technical solutions at reasonable cost.
  • Ability to take directions from Senior Technicians and Engineers and follow existing procedures. At the same time, provide feedback to Engineering and Management, as needed, to improve existing equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
  • Participate in ERT/Safety training and events.
  • Ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as required to minimize equipment MTTR.
  • Requires minimal management supervision to perform daily routines.

Working Environment:
Assignment Complexity
* Work assignments are somewhat complex in nature; solve difficult problems that deal with a variety of variables. Participate in problem solving teams.
Accountability/Discretion
* Viewed as Senior Technician with high level technical expertise for multiple systems and equipment in one major production area with extensive working knowledge of trouble shooting and equipment repair.
Working Relationships
* Interface with Production, Process, and Facility groups, and support FAB priorities.
Supervision
* No direct management responsibilities
Working Conditions
* Works in a FAB clean-room environment with repetitive motion and lifting load up to 50 pounds. For load higher than 50 pounds help from other technicians and follow safety procedures will be required

Job Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent military or maintenance industry hands-on experience.
  • Must demonstrate working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems operations and maintenance and be able to work with minimal assistance.
  • Must have the ability to properly utilize troubleshooting and analysis tools such as a DVM and Oscilloscope.
  • Adequate knowledge of electronic circuits, robotics and pneumatics components, principles of electrical circuits, and motor control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using prints and schematics.

Compensation:

$25/hr - $38/hr
