Reactor Modeling Simulation Internship Summer 2025

In this paid internship, you will dive into hands-on verification and validation calculations for activation analysis of RAFM steel. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills using MOOSE-based tools and other stochastic methods in a real-world setting.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of nuclear reactor physics and design, Neutronics, multiphysics, numerical analysis, sensitivity analysis. You will be reporting to the Advanced Reactor Technology and Design group. This team works a 9x80 schedule and operates onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. The start date and duration of the internship vary based on project needs and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.

  Doctorate Degree Program enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Nuclear Engineering
