Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a ServiceNow (SNow) Platform Administrator to work in our IT Services department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. The SNow Developer is responsible for Configuring, Developing and Supporting solutions within ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, SecOps, EA/APM and Scoped Apps). We have a good-sized team with admin/developers and architects. Architects take the lead with solution design and estimations while Developers focus on Development, Peer Reviews, Function Testing and Incident/Problem root cause and resolution.
- Hands-on development experience in the ServiceNow platform notably ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, EA and Scoped Apps
- Deep understanding of the key technologies used in building ServiceNow integration solutions including Integration Hub, SSO, Rest services etc.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development approaches
- Strong experience in Integrations with 3rd party tools using (web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc).
- Experience in loading data into SNOW from third party systems using Web Services and Import Sets.
- Should have experience at UI Scripting, UI Action, UI Policy, UI Macro, Business Rules, Workflow development, Flow Designer, Catalog Item.
- Development, Platform Administration, Reporting in ServiceNow SQL, Database view in ServiceNow
- Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO and other widespread enterprise technologies
- Perfectly comfortable navigating and modifying classic ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Catalog.
- Ability to create technical documentation and how to manuals for reference.
- A team player who is gracious with their time and knowledge when others need support.
- A highly organized individual who can manage multiple assignments at once and use time efficiently.
- A strong researcher who can effectively use community and other online resources to seek answers to challenging problems.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implement low code / low complexity solutions to business automation needs.
- Implement complex solutions when Out of the Box, configuration is not an option.
- Serve as a technical SME on some of the modules and lean in to learning modules you are not as familiar with.
* Build according to team-defined standards and best practices to ensure the solutions are easily maintained through upgrades and can scale as lab adoption or business processes evolve.
- Follow the team's SDLC process and support fellow team members with Peer Review and function testing.
- Collaborate with project managers, process analysts and team leads as necessary, to ensure project risks are highlighted and timelines are met.
- Learn new aspects of the platform, as project demands arise.
- Stay up to date with Release notes and new features within ServiceNow.
- Maintain and pursue certifications as necessary.
- Investigate root cause on issues and return the system to proper functioning.
- Document tickets and keep the customer informed of progress.
- Use good judgement and ask for clarification or approval as needed.
- Work with minimal oversight. Escalate issues to architect and team lead as necessary.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Level 3 - Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, computer information systems, or a similar field plus 5 years' meaningful experience OR 11 years' relevant experience/education in lieu of a BS.
- Level 4 - BS in computer science, information technology, computer information systems, or similar plus 9 years' meaningful experience OR 15 years' relevant experience/education in lieu of a bachelors' degree.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in ServiceNow Development.
- CSA Certification - Certified System Administrator
- CAD - Certified Application Developer
- Hands-on experience in Creating and maintaining API's and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
- This requires US Citizenship.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- College degree
- 7 years of demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration
- Certification in ITIL Foundations 3 or 4
- Certified Implementation Specialist in one or more ServiceNow applications
- Hands-On experience with ServiceNow Discovery & ITAM modules is preferred
- Hands-on experience in hardware/ software asset reconciliation is preferred.
- Hands-On experience with Virtual Agent, Mobile Apps or Workspaces is preferred.
- Implementation and customization of Employee Service Portal is preferred.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($93,204 - $191,076) / Level 4 ($111,888 - $229,284). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
