This position is on site at our Cullowhee campus.
- Twelve-month (2,000 hour) position temporary position lasting from August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026. Responsibilities include intakes, individual and group counseling, case management, clinical consultations, clinical assessments, training in the provision of supervision, and outreach presentations/programs.
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services - Provide intakes and short-term counseling to students - Provide clinical consultations to faculty, staff, students - Provide emergency services on rotational basis during day hours - Provide counseling group(s) or support group(s) - Receive training in the provision of supervision and provide supervision to graduate interns in masters degree counseling/psychology/social work program when available - Provide case management for clients
- Outreach Services - Provide outreach presentations and programs on campus - Provide training to faculty, staff, and students - Provide support through attendance at selected Student Affairs programs -Provide feedback to committees and attend meetings to promote related department and divisional services
- Other - Attend staff meetings and supervision - Complete other duties as assigned by Director, Clinical Director, or Training Director - Engage in professional development meetings - Enhance, assess, support or develop CAPS resources or projects as assigned
- May potentially include some after hours outreach opportunities but time will be flexed out with daytime scheduling as needed

Minimum Qualifications |
Applicants must be enrolled in a program currently accredited by
APA,
CPA, or
PCSAS, or enrolled in a program that has successfully
COMPLETED at least one of the following concrete accreditation milestones by the application deadline: Submitted for Intent to Apply status, submitted an accreditation self-study, has been granted an
APA/
CPA/
PCSAS accreditation site visit. Must meet minimum training and experience requirements specified on
CAPS training program website and have submitted an application to
CAPS internship program via the
AAPI Online (
APPIC Application for Psychology Internships) application through the
APPIC (Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) and National Matching Service application and selection process. Applicants must have matched with
