MANAGER - ADDITIVE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ADDITIVE MANAGER

  • The Additive Manager position is focused on expanding the use of Carpenter Materials within the AM industry and the fabrication of finished goods.
  • Position requires a balance of hands-on skills to be able to introduce new and existing additive technologies to the Carpenter portfolio.
  • The role will focus on managing internal and external collaborations to build a strong knowledge base and intellectual property for Carpenter in the field of Additive Manufacturing.
  • This position will require collaboration with the Government Program Manager to drive timely and successful completion of project Milestones.
  • Position is expected to provide leadership, coaching, training and knowledge transfer to direct reports.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED FOR THE ADDITIVE MANAGER

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics or Chemistry from an accredited university or college. An Advanced degree is preferred.
  • 3 + years working in Additive Manufacturing environment.
  • Software/controls experience.
  • Experience in Additive process and/or product development
  • Experience in metal powder production.
  • Effective problem solving and solution skills.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
