Institutional Client Solutions (ICS)

Goldman Sachs Institutional Client Solutions (ICS) is our nationwide effort to deliver customized investment advice and holistic services to endowments, foundations, and other institutional clients in the U.S. We partner with PWM teams to advise on implementation solutions for our clients. We offer a suite of services and capabilities that complement our standard investment management offering, including investment policy statement consultation spending analysis, and access to the broader Goldman Sachs ecosystem. We provide clients with an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer ("OCIO") solution, delivered through the US Portfolio Management Group. Out OCIO solution enables institutions to delegate many of the day-to-day functions related to the management of the investment portfolio while retaining fiduciary oversight.

The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) is a dedicated and experienced team that is responsible for managing multi-asset class discretionary mandates primarily for institutional clients. This team brings together the independent investment strategy of the Investment Strategy Group (ISG), a rigorous investment process and a broad range of implementation options, enabling them to construct risk-focused portfolios designed specially for each client's unique considerations.

PMG is seeking an experienced Vice President who can provide portfolio/relationship management support to Private Wealth Management (PWM) teams by focusing on client service, serving as a key liaison to Private Wealth Advisors, and assisting in managing the investment process. The individual will be a main point of contact for PWM teams with respect to new business solicitations and managing general on-going client needs. This is a client-facing role which requires comfort in presenting to audiences with varying degrees of financial sophistication. Responsibilities will include portfolio management responsibilities, management/creation of marketing materials, periodic/ad hoc reporting, and other client support functions. Travel for client-facing activities is required.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Serve as a client-facing contact to clients / clients' advisors
  • Support new business solicitations and the management of on-going client needs
  • Assist in managing portfolio implementations, on-boarding discussions, changes to investment
  • management agreements
  • Collaborate on projects related to new business development and strategic team planning
  • Serve as key liaison to other areas supporting the PMG business including legal, compliance, and technology
  • Manage generation and presentation of client reports including quarterly reviews, performance attribution, and other ad hoc requests
  • Execute, process and reconcile trading and other investment related transactions
  • Analyze and reconcile team's business
  • Lead or participate in efforts to improve efficiencies


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal/leadership skills and a passion to engage with clients
  • Must be comfortable presenting to audiences of varying sizes and sophistication
  • Detail orientation, patience, and demonstrated ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and think clearly under pressure
  • Organizational skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Collaborative and team work oriented
  • Proficiency in Windows Technology (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • At least ten years of related investment experience
  • SIE, Series 3, 7 and 63 (must be obtained within three months of employment)

    • Obtaining CFA Charter and/or CFP highly encouraged and will be sponsored in accordance with firm policy

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
