We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Software Engineer focusing on Data Science, Generative AI, and AI/ML technologies.You will support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will be part of the center of excellence and will be driving Omni and Customer Centric experiences. You will develop software solutions leveraging data science, generative AI, ML and cloud technologies for large enterprise customers to improve on key business KPIs.

• Develop and fine-tune generative models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Integrate AI models into production systems with APIs for seamless deployment

• Design and implement data pipelines and machine learning models for predictive analytics.

• Conduct research and development in Generative AI applications (e.g., NLP, image synthesis).

• Deploy AI/ML models on cloud platforms (AWS, or GCP) for scalability.

• Collaborate with front-end teams to optimize API performance.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI/ML and cloud computing

• Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.

• Building reusable code and libraries for future use.

• Applying complex algorithms when developing systems and applications to deliver business functions or architectural components.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

In this hybrid full time position, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. This hybrid role will be based out of either Temple Terrace, FL or Irving, TX.

You'll need to have:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, or related majors with a completion date between December 2024 and June 2025.

• Coursework or demonstrated experience in Python, JavaScript and SQL.

• Coursework or experience in Cloud Platforms

• Coursework or experience in AI/ML Frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

• Willingness to work in Temple Terrace, FL or Irving, TX.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

• Knowledge of AWS and Graph QL

• Previous experience working in AI/ML or Gen AI.

• Ability to work multiple team members and vendors in a clear and concise manner.

• Self motivation and ability to adapt to program changes.
