What you'll be doing...

As a senior data engineer you will contribute to building out digital & AI-first data products, analytical assets and data products such as Consumer Data Platform for Value, Journey as a Product etc. You will be responsible for maintaining the data pipeline quality, integrity, and play a critical role in building the data products that are used by Value Marketing, Sales , Finance and strategy teams.

In this role you will be responsible for consolidating all the 8 Value brands data into Google Cloud by building a Unified Data Model using the SID taxonomy. You will also be responsible for building reusable core data products that can be leveraged by the base management, digital marketing, local marketing and Data Analytics & reporting teams. You will be closely working with the AI Center team to build Model Ready data to assist building AI Models to retain customers , reduce churn and grow revenue. You will also be responsible for the data enablement for real-time signals from omni-channel interactions and transactions

  • Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.

  • Building secure, scalable, and stable data solutions using data storage technologies, distributed file system, data processing, and business intelligence best practices.

  • Designing and planning for solutions in the various engineering subject areas as it relates to data storage and movement solutions: Enterprise system data architecture, data design, data persistence technologies, data processing, data management, and data analysis.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Hands on working experience in Google Cloud Platform technologies like Big query, Composer, Dataflow

  • Hands on working experience in Big Data Technologies: Hive, Spark, HyperSQL, Oozie

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree.

  • Certification on data engineering tools and technologies.

  • Experience with databases, BI tools, data quality and performance tuning.

  • Experience in Design and build of the infrastructure for data extraction, preparation, and loading of data from a variety of sources using technology such as Non -SQL and Big data.

  • Experience in identifying valuable data sources and automate collection processes

  • Experience in undertaking and preprocessing of structured and unstructured data

  • Experience in analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends

  • Experience in building data and analytics tools that will offer deeper insight into the pipeline, allowing for critical discoveries surrounding key performance indicators and customer activity

  • Experience working on cloud technologies.

  • Working knowledge of database (Teradata) and SQL (Structured Query Language)
