IT Technical Project Manager of Infrastructure - Temp

The IT Technical Project Manager will be responsible for project management executions and actively interfacing with business and IT teams. The position will collaborate with the PMO, functional leads and infrastructure teams to ensure projects aligns with overarching program goals and benefits.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
* Maintain regular interaction and communication with project stakeholders across multiple business units, including IT teams, and vendors, providing updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
* Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
* Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and task allocation.
* Schedule/facilitate meetings to provide project status/reviews as required to keep stakeholders adequately informed on project status.
* Communicate any concerns with issues that may impact project schedule, budget or quality to the project sponsor and stakeholders.
* Track and communicate status at both a detailed (task) level and a summary (sub-project or release) level for a variety of audiences, from the project team to executive sponsorship.
* Ensure projects are delivered according to scope, timeline, resources, and budget.
* Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays. Work closely with stakeholders (business and IT) to resolve conflicts in prioritization and staffing.
* Track project issues and drive resolution.
* Oversee change management processes, including training, documentation, and communication plans, to ensure a smooth transition for end-users.
* Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes (such as attendees, items discussed, what changed, blockers, next steps, action items).
* Conduct post-implementation reviews / retrospect to evaluate project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and capture lessons learned.
* Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to PMO guidelines and best practices.
* Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
* Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in project management or related field with 8+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred qualifications
* Project management experience in the medical device industry is preferred
* Certified Scrum Master preferred
* Certification in Cisco networking and/or cloud fundamentals is preferred
* Proven experience in leading the IT infrastructure Projects such as Network upgrades, Cloud and Data Center migrations and HA/DR projects
* Strong understanding Network and Network Security infrastructure deployments (Switches, WIFI, Firewalls, VPN tunnels)
* Strong understanding of Systems and Cloud infrastructure (Windows, Linux, VMWARE, Azure, AWS, GCP)
* Previous experience as Network Engineer or Systems Engineer will be a plus
* Proficiency in project management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
* Practical experience in implementing and leading Agile Scrum planning and development
* Strong understanding of project governance, software development and testing life cycles
* Solid understanding of software development life cycles, contemporary project management methodologies (agile, iterative, and incremental) and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
* Direct work experience in a project management capacity for IT projects in the areas such as infrastructure implementation/replacement, various enterprise software upgrades/maintenance releases, database management, commercial off the shelf software implementations and various system integrations
* Familiarity with multiple operating environments, including Windows Server, Exchange Server, Server consolidation, domain migrations, Data Centers, Network platforms, Cloud solutions and collaboration solutions, SharePoint, Service now etc.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal ability working in cross-functional project teams.
* Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills required.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Excel skills
Business travel including from 5%-10%. Must be willing to travel to our offices in Roseville and Livermore, as needed. General office environment Requires some lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Base Hourly Range: $70.00/hr - $80.00/hr
